Michael is a self-taught Wirral artist who has recently returned to full-time painting after a career in personnel management.
He is widely-travelled and was brought up in East Africa, which is where his interest in painting began.
The influence of early life experiences can be seen in many of his pieces of work, the most popular of which still have distinct African themes – both real and imagined. He works with a variety of media and techniques, often using oil pastels in combination with ink or watercolour.
