Until only a few years ago, Robert Wyatt's passion for painting and drawing was a private pursuit. Entirely self-taught, his realistic and highly detailed style has grown, with work in collections both in the UK and on the continent.
Robert studied a large number of texts on the technique of such masters as Van Eyck and Vermeer in order to gain the technical ability to achieve the results he required. Each piece is designed so that the viewer is invited to look from a distance, appreciate the composition, and then move closer and closer until the details and narrative of the piece reveal themselves
